The contrasts are enormous in Ullensvang municipality, which includes the areas of Ullensvang, Odda and Jondal. The distance between significant natural and cultural experiences is short!
In Sørfjorden you will find Norway's perhaps largest fruit orchard, where the cider- and fruitfarms lie close to each other in between hundreds of thousands of apple, sweet cherry, plum and pear trees. It is also an ideal place if you want to experience the rich cultural history of Hardanger. The Folgefonna glacier and the 19km road (Glacier Road) from the fjord in Jondal up to the top is an experience in itself.
In addition to the national icon Trolltunga, Ullensvang also has excellent hikes such as the Queen's Trail, Husedalen and Buerdalen. A good tip is to drive along the Norwegian Scenic Route Hardanger, where you will get close to the unique landscape the municipality has to offer.
