Starting point

5.4 km north of Jondal centre on road 550. Take the sharp right hand turning towards Selsvik. About 350 m further on you can find a starting point for the hike to Jonahorn. Look for the information board at a road junction. The hike to Gullbergnotten starts 400 m up the road towards Selsvik, at the end of the asphalt road. Park along the side of the farm building. Parking at own risk.

About the trail

This hike takes you into the Gullbergnotten nature reserve. Start by going through an orchard until you find the hiking sign marking the route. Proceed through a meadow and find a new hiking marker which directs you on to a farm track. At the end of the farm track you enter the nature reserve and continue on a good path through the woods. The path generally follows the power line pylons to the top of the pass. Here you can look for the sign marking the route to Gullbergnotten (there is also an unmarked path to Tofjell here). After leaving the pass behind, the path takes you past the mountain cabin at Liasete. At Gullbergnotten there is a superb view down to the village of Jondal and the fjord.
